To carry OC/Pepper Spray (legally called Tear Gas) while on-duty, you must have a Permit.
Failure to possess a permit while carrying OC Spray on duty is a violation of BSIS regulations and can result in heavy fines and suspension or revocation of your permits.
You must complete a 4-hour training in the carry, use, and legal requirements and limitations of OC/Pepper Spray. Our course includes hands on demonstrations and practice deploying OC Spray using inert training cans.

Our hands-on OC/Pepper Spray Class costs $100. This includes your permit, which will be issued the same day!
We can also provide you with duty grade OC/Pepper Spray for an additional cost.
You will receive your permit same day! (as long as you have an active Guard Card, Alarm Agent, or PPO)
No, as long as you have an active Guard Card, Alarm Agent Permit, or PPO there is no background required.
Yes; surprisingly, there are no exemptions for peace officers allowing the carry of OC/Pepper Spray while working security; a permit is required!
However, it is the easiest permit as BSIS does not process any paperwork. The training company (us) can directly issue you the permit. Many clients will require you to carry OC/Pepper Spray.
Just give us a call or email and we can get you certified. And no, you don't have to get sprayed again. matt@tactical-ish.com
Yes; unfortunately, BSIS does not offer law enforcement with any exemptions after we retire or otherwise separate form an agency.
Shoot us an email and we can get you certified! matt@tactical-ish.com
